Cocos (Keeling) Islands Forecast

Weather Situation:
A surface trough lies in the vicinity of the Islands with a ridge of high
pressure across the southern Indian Ocean. The trough is forecast to weaken and
move westwards from Tuesday. As such enhanced shower and thunderstorm activity
is possible during Monday, with an easing trend from Tuesday onwards.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 25 July
Showers. The chance of a thunderstorm.
Winds: East to southeasterly 15 to 20 knots, tending east to northeasterly 10 to 15
knots during the afternoon.
Seas: 1.5 to 2.0 metres.
Swell 1: South to southeasterly 1.5 to 2.0 metres.
Swell 2: Southwesterly up to 1.0 metre.
