Cocos (Keeling) Islands Forecast

Weather Situation:
The monsoon trough continues to lie in the vicinity of the Islands with showers
and thunderstorms possible over the coming days. An increase in activity is
expected from late Tuesday/Wednesday as another tropical low develops in the
vicinity of the Islands. Moderate to heavy falls possible from late Tuesday
depending on development and movement of tropical low.

Partly cloudy. Possible shower or thunderstorm.
Winds: Variable below 10 knots.
Seas: Below 1.0 metre.
Swell 1: South to southwesterly 1.0 to 1.5 metres.
Swell 2: West to northwesterly 0.5 to 1.0 metres.

Forecast for Tuesday 19 January
Partly cloudy. Showers increasing, chance of a thunderstorm.
Winds: South to southeasterly around 15 knots.
Seas: 1.0 to 1.5 metres.
Swell 1: Southerly 1.0 to 1.5 metres.
Swell 2: West to northwesterly 0.5 to 1.0 metres.
