Cocos (Keeling) Islands Forecast

Weather Situation:
A weakening broad low pressure system lies to the northwest, with a trough
extending to the west and southwest of the Islands. The system is forecast to
continue to weaken and move southwards for the remainder of Wednesday. A ridge
of high pressure will develop to the south of the Island during Thursday and
strengthen on Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 27 July
Partly cloudy. Chance of a shower.
Winds: East to northeasterly around 10 knots.
Seas: Around 1.0 metre.
Swell 1: Southeasterly 1.5 to 2.0 metres.
Swell 2: Southwesterly up to 1.0 metre.

Forecast for Thursday 28 July
Partly cloudy with a possible morning shower.
Winds: Easterly 10 to 15 knots, tending southeasterly in the evening.
Seas: 1.0 to 1.5 metres.
Swell 1: Southeasterly 1.0 to 1.5 metres.
Swell 2: South to southwesterly up to 1.0 metre.
