Cocos (Keeling) Islands Forecast

Weather Situation:
A ridge of high pressure remains to the south of the Islands and a trough lies
just to the north. The trough will strengthen and a weak low pressure system
may develop to the north of the Islands by Monday, leading to an increase of
showers and thunderstorms. The low pressure system will move to be within the
vicitiny of the Island by Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 1 May
Partly cloudy. A shower or two with the chance of a thunderstorm.
Winds: East to southeasterly 15 to 20 knots.
Seas: 1.0 to 1.5 metres.
Swell: South to southeasterly 1.5 to 2.5 metres.

Forecast for Monday 2 May
Partly cloudy. A shower or two with the chance of a thunderstorm.
Winds: East to southeasterly 15 to 20 knots.
Seas: 1.5 to 2.0 metres.
Swell: Southerly to southwesterly around 1.0 metre.
