Weather Situation:
A ridge of high pressure lies through the southern Indian Ocean and a surface
trough lies in the vicinity of the Islands. The trough moves west, away from
the Islands on Sunday. Note there is some uncertainty with the position of the
trough over the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 23 October
Mostly cloudy. Showers with the risk of a storm. Moderate to heavy falls
possible with a thunderstorm.
Winds: East to northeasterly 10 to 15 knots.
Seas: 1.0 to 1.5 metres.
Swell: South to southwesterly 1.0 to 1.5 metres.

Mostly cloudy. Showers, possible storm. Moderate to heavy falls possible with a
thunderstorm.
Winds: Northeasterly about 10 knots, although there is a chance winds may be east to
southeasterly 10 to 15 knots.
Seas: About 1.0 metre.
Swell: South to southwesterly 1.0 to 1.5 metres.
