Cocos (Keeling) Islands Forecast

Weather Situation:
A low pressure trough in the vicinity of the Cocos Islands is triggering
showers and thunderstorms. The trough will remain stationary over the coming
days, and will begin to weaken on Friday as a southeasterly trade flow will
redevelops.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 2 September
A few showers, with the chance of a thunderstorm.
Winds: North to northeasterly 5 to 10 knots.
Seas: Up to 1.0 metre.
Swell: Southerly 1.5 to 2.0 metres.

Forecast for Wednesday 3 September
A few showers, with the chance of a thunderstorm.
Winds: North to northeasterly 5 to 10 knots, becoming east to northeasterly in the
afternoon.
Seas: Up to 1.0 metre
Swell: Southerly 1.5 to 2.0 metres.
