Cocos (Keeling) Islands Forecast

Weather Situation:
A low pressure trough lies just to the east of the Cocos Islands is triggering
showers and thunderstorms. The trough will weaken and a southeasterly trade
flow will redevelop by Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 2 September
A few showers, with the chance of a thunderstorm.
Winds: North to northeasterly around 10 knots, easing to 5 to 10 knots during the
Seas: to 1.5 metres.
Swell: Southerly 1.5 to 2.0 metres.

A few showers.
Winds: East to northeasterly 5 to 10 knots.

Outlook for Thursday 4 September
A shower or two.
Winds: East to southeasterly around 10 knots.
