Weather Situation

A high pressure ridge will lie to the south of the state throughout the forecast period. A trough over central parts of the state extends northeast into the Interior. The trough is extending a branch towards the west coast and a low is expected to form within the trough today and move south. The trough and low pressure system will move inland on Thursday as a new ridge arrives on the west coast from the Indian Ocean. A weak cold front will brush past the southwest coast on Friday.
