Weather Situation

A trough extends from the Gascoyne, through the Goldfields into eastern parts of the South West Land Division, and will contract slowly east over southern parts during Friday and over the weekend. A weak cold front will brush the southwest of the state late Saturday, with a new surface trough redeveloping near the west coast on Monday.

Very hot and mostly sunny. Slight (20%) chance of a shower in the north. The chance of a thunderstorm inland in the afternoon. Winds northeasterly 25 to 35 km/h tending northwest to northeasterly 20 to 25 km/h in the middle of the day then tending east to northeasterly 20 to 30 km/h in the early afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to between 19 and 24 with daytime temperatures reaching the low 40s.
