Tuesday

A low pressure trough extends from the far eastern Gascoyne through inland parts of the Goldfields and into the Eucla, and will move slowly northeastwards during the day. Hot, dry air and fresh and gusty winds on the eastern side of the trough from mid morning until early afternoon will lead to severe to extreme fire danger indices in the far eastern Goldfields and throughout the Eucla district. The passage of the trough will bring a cooler west to southwesterly change, however there will be little change in the strength of the winds, which will remain fresh and gusty throughout the southern Goldfields and Eucla until evening. There is a chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms throughout the Eucla, Goldfields and southern Gascoyne overnight, contracting to the east during the day. Thunderstorm activity may be accompanied by strong and gusty winds.
