Synoptic Situation
A high pressure ridge lies to the south of the state, while a surface trough
lies inland of the south west coast.
Jurien Bay to Mandurah:
Wednesday until midnight: S/SE winds 13/18 knots easing to S/SW winds 10/15
knots by late morning. Winds increasing to S/SW 15/20 knots during the
afternoon, reaching 20/25 knots offshore by late afternoon. Seas 1.0m to 2.0m.
Swell 1.0m to 1.5m.
Thursday: S/SE winds 18/23 knots easing to 13/18 knots for a period in the
morning. Winds tending S/SW 18/23 knots early afternoon, strengthening to S/SW
20/30 knots during the afternoon. Seas 1.5m to 2.5m. Swell 1.0m to 1.5m.
Friday: S'ly winds 13/18 knots strengthening to S/SW winds 20/30 knots during
the afternoon.
