A ridge of high pressure is strengthening over southern parts of the state.
Kuri Bay to Wallal:
Strong Wind Warning.
Saturday until midnight: Winds: Southeasterly 15 to 25 knots strengthening to 20
to 30 knots late evening. Seas: 1 to 1.5 metres increasing to 2 to 3 metres
later in the evening. Swell: Southwesterly 0.5 metres.
Sunday: Winds: East to southeasterly 20 to 30 knots decreasing to 15 to 25 knots
around midday. Seas: Up to 3 metres decreasing below 2 metres around midday.
Swell: Westerly 0.5 metres.
Monday: Winds: Southeasterly 20 to 25 knots turning easterly 20 to 30 knots for
a period during the morning. Seas: Up to 3 metres decreasing below 2 metres
around midday. Swell: Westerly 0.5 metres.
Tuesday: Winds: East to southeasterly 20 to 30 knots decreasing to 15 to 25
knots during the day.
