Weather Situation

Severe Tropical Cyclone Errol is now weakening as it moves east to southeast towards the west Kimberley coast. It is forecast to cross the coast, most likely between Beagle Bay and Cockatoo Island overnight Friday. Elsewhere, a trough over the inland Pilbara is moving eastwards, reaching the North Interior on Friday. A new trough will develop near the west Pilbara coast during the weekend.

Mostly clear. Slight chance of a shower in the far east, near zero chance elsewhere. The chance of a thunderstorm in the east. Winds north to northwesterly 15 to 25 km/h shifting south to southwesterly 15 to 20 km/h in the evening.

Friday 18 April

Mostly sunny. Medium chance of showers in the far east, most likely in the early morning. Near zero chance of rain elsewhere. The chance of a thunderstorm in the east in the morning and afternoon. Winds southeast to southwesterly 20 to 30 km/h. Overnight temperatures falling to between 19 and 23 with daytime temperatures reaching the low to high 30s.
