Weather Situation

A broad trough deepening through central parts of the state on Saturday, will contract eastwards during Sunday. A cold front will move through southwestern parts during Sunday, with a deep low pressure system moving near the south coast Sunday evening. The low pressure system will move eastwards near the south coast on Monday, with a ridge of high pressure developing in its wake on Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday

Partly cloudy. Slight (20%) chance of a shower near the coast east of Esperance early this evening. Near zero chance of rain elsewhere. The chance of a thunderstorm early this evening. Winds south to southeasterly 15 to 25 km/h becoming light in the late evening.

Sunday 17 December

Mostly sunny morning. Medium (40%) chance of showers, most likely in the afternoon and evening. The chance of a thunderstorm in the late afternoon and evening. Winds westerly 25 to 35 km/h turning northwesterly 20 to 30 km/h in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 14 and 17 with daytime temperatures reaching 24 to 32.
