A high pressure ridge lies to the south of the state, while a surface trough
lies inland of the south west coast.

Northwest Cape to Carnarvon: 
Wednesday until midnight: S/SW winds 18/23 knots easing to 13/18 knots for a
period from late morning to early afternoon. Seas 1.5m to 2.0m. Swell 1.0m to
1.5m.
Thursday: S/SW winds 15/20 knots easing to 10/15 knots for a period in the
morning. Seas 1.0m to 1.5m. Swell to 1.0m.
Friday: S/SW winds 18/23 knots.

Carnarvon to Kalbarri: 
Wednesday until midnight: S/SE winds 13/18 knots tending S/SW 13/18 knots by
late morning and increasing to 18/23 knots during the afternoon. Seas 1.5m to
2.0m. Swell to 1.5m.
Thursday: S/SE winds 18/23 knots easing to 13/18 knots inshore north of Shark
Bay for a period in the morning. Winds throughout strengthening to S/SW 20/30
knots during the afternoon. Seas to 1.5m increasing to 2.5m in the afternoon.
Swell  to 1.0m.
Friday: S/SE winds 18/23 knots tending S/SW 20/30 knots during the afternoon.

Wednesday until midnight: S/SE winds 13/18 knots tending S/SW 13/18 knots early
afternoon and reaching 18/23 knots by late afternoon. Seas 1.5m to 2.0m. Swell

Thursday: S/SE winds 18/23 knots tending S/SW winds 20/30 knots during the
afternoon. Seas 1.5m to 2.5m. Swell 1.0m to 1.5m.
Friday: S/SE winds 18/23 knots tending S/SW 20/30 knots during the afternoon.

Swell 1.0m to 1.5m.
Thursday: S/SE winds 18/23 knots easing to 13/18 knots for a period in the
morning. Winds tending S/SW 18/23 knots early afternoon, strengthening to S/SW

Friday: S'ly winds 13/18 knots strengthening to S/SW winds 20/30 knots during
the afternoon.

Thursday: North of Cape Naturaliste: S/SE winds 13/18 knots easing to 8/13 knots
during the morning. Winds tending SW'ly 13/18 knots late morning and reaching
S/SW 20/30 knots during the afternoon. South of Cape Naturaliste: S/SE winds
8/13 knots tending S/SW 13/18 knots during the afternoon. Seas 1.0m to 2.5m.
Swell 1.0m to 1.5m.
Friday: S'ly winds 8/13 knots tending S/SW 13/18 knots by early afternoon. Winds
strengthening to S/SW 20/30 knots north of Cape Naturaliste in the afternoon.
