World Meteorological Organisation Reference Number 94212.
Location 18 degrees 13 minutes 49 seconds South, 127 degrees 39 minutes 45 seconds East, on the northern edge of the Halls Creek Airport, to the west of the town. 424 m above mean sea level.
Measures temperature, humidity, rainfall, evaporation, wind and pressure on a 24 hour basis using an Automatic Weather Station.
Reports the above as well as cloud and visibility when manned.
Operates a weather-watch radar.
Measures upper air winds by tracking a balloon using the radar.
History

Opened 1 Jan 1944 by the RAAF on the airfield which had been established for training and supply purposes.
Handed to the civilian Bureau of Meteorology in 1946.
Became an approved Barometric Station in 1951.
Moved from beside the runway to the current site in 1966.
First radar was installed in 1967 (upper air only).
Airport handed to the Shire of Halls Creek in 1992.
Automatic Weather Station was installed in 1996.
Advanced radar including weather watch capability (WF100) was installed in 2000.
AWIB, aeronautical telephone reporting system, was installed in 2002.
