Fire Weather Warning
for the Coastal Central West, East Pilbara, Gascoyne, Ashburton Inland, North Interior and Inland Central West - North fire weather districts
Issued at 7:02 pm WST on Thursday 5 December 2013.
Hot with fresh and gusty northeast to southeast winds in the Gascoyne, Interior, inland Pilbara and northern parts of the Central West district.
For the rest of Thursday 5 December:
Severe Fire Danger is forecast for the following fire weather districts:
Coastal Central West, Gascoyne, East Pilbara Inland, Ashburton Inland, North Interior and Inland Central West - North
Catastrophic and Extreme Fire Danger Warning has been CANCELLED for the Gascoyne and the Coastal Central West - North. For the remainder of the day a Severe Fire Danger is in force for the Gascoyne and the Coastal Central West - North. The Fire Weather Warning for the East Pilbara Coast forecast district has been cancelled.
If you are in a SEVERE or EXTREME Fire Danger area:
- The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) advises if a fire starts and takes hold it will be unpredictable, move very fast and be difficult for firefighters to bring under control.
