Fire Weather Warning
for the Kimberley Inland and Inland Central West - North fire weather districts

Issued at 4:07 pm WST on Wednesday 1 October 2014.

Weather Situation

A deepening surface trough near the west coast, will move inland during Thursday. Hot, dry conditions and gusty northeasterly winds are expected during the morning in the inland Kimberley.

For the rest of Wednesday 1 October:

Severe Fire Danger in the following fire weather district:
Inland Central West - North

For Thursday 2 October:

Severe Fire Danger is forecast for the following fire weather district:
Kimberley Inland

If you are in a SEVERE or EXTREME Fire Danger area:

  • The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) advises if a fire starts and takes hold it will be unpredictable, move very fast and be difficult for firefighters to bring under control.
