Cancellation of Flood Warning for the Southern Goldfields District.

Stream rises and isolated areas of flooding have been reported in the Southern Goldfields District over the weekend and today, Monday. No further flooding is expected to develop in the district and creeks and rivers are expected to recede as water moves into local lakes.

No significant rainfall is expected in the district over the next three days.

Rainfall for the 24 hours to 9am today, Monday include;

MOUNT BURDETT (DAFWA) 88mm

TELINA DOWNS 82mm

SALMON GUMS RES STN 43mm

BULONG 34mm

DFES advises people and communities to be aware that flooding is possible and be prepared to relocate equipment and livestock. Watch water levels. Travellers need to be aware that road conditions may be adversely affected and travel plans may need to be reconsidered. Do not drive into water of unknown depth and velocity.
