P.I.T. Workshop - 17 September 2002
The workshop was the starting point for waGOOS in its quest to improve and co-ordinate knowledge of and observations for WA coastal waters and adjoining oceans. There were 23 attendees, representing State and Federal governments departments, Defence, oil and gas companies, Universities and infrastructure develepoment companies. Following the suggested agenda, the morning session covered the following presentations:
In the afternoon session a series of discussion topics were pursued, including Oceanographic and Statistical/Empirical Models, Data and Data Assimilation, Database and Website, and Action Arising.
