If your organisation is unable to deliver data in the preferred Water Data Transfer Format (WDTF), then it should provide the data in the format it currently has available.
For example:
Data delivered in this manner should be consistent and follow the specified data file content and naming conventions. In order to extract data from these files into a national hydrologic database, the Bureau will need to interpret and reformat the data. In many cases it will be necessary to contact your organisation to develop an understanding of the data you have provided. Interpretation of these data files is a significant exercise and it may be a number of months until the Bureau is in contact.
Please note: Time series data is not to be provided to the Bureau in Binary, PDF, Word or unstructured text formats.
