January 2020 Summary
Rainfall was average or higher than average across 83 per cent of the area, with higher than average conditions in the north and average conditions in the middle. In the south east of the basin, rainfall was lower than average. Total rainfall accross the Basin was 47 mm, 15 per cent higher than the long-term mean of 41 mm for January.
There was water flowing in the rivers in the north east of the drainage division, including the upper tributaries of the Copper Creek. There has not been flow at these stations since May 2019. Streamflows were average to lower than average for all sites, except at the Darr River site where the flow was above average.
