You are invited to contribute to the review of Australia's guidelines for the use of Acoustic Doppler technology in streamflow measurement.

It's been more than four years since the National Industry Guidelines for hydrometric monitoring were published by the Bureau. To keep pace with changes in technology and practice, they're now due for review.

The first of the ten guidelines to be reviewed over the next 12 months are Parts 8, 9 and 10, which include guidance for hydrographers on Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCPs).

An expert subcommittee of the Water Monitoring Standardisation Technical Committee (WaMSTeC) has proposed a number of changes to the guidelines, and welcomes your comment. The consultation period will remain open through to Friday 15 December 2017.
