Adelaide and Mount Lofty Ranges Natural Resources Management Board (AMLRNRMB): Barossa Water Allocation Plan (AMLRNRMB 2009).
South Australian Department for Water.
Groundwater irrigation allocations for 2009–10 were obtained from the WILMA database for water management areas in the Adelaide region: Barossa Prescribed Water Resources Area (PWRA), McLaren Vale Prescribed Wells Area (PWA) and Northern Adelaide Plains PWA.
Licence purpose information was obtained for the Northern Adelaide Plains PWA and Barossa PWRA, but was not available for the McLaren Vale PWA. For the McLaren PWA, irrigation licences were identified from the bore purpose recorded at the time of construction in the Drillhole Enquiry System.
Allocations for the Barossa PWRA are area-based and were converted to volumes using the guidelines in the Barossa Water Allocation Plan.
