1 The volume equals 45,288 ML Water Audit Monitoring (WAM) recorded volume less 4,500 ML transfers from Murrumbidgee River and Cotter Dam to Googong Reservoir, less 1,941 ML unregulated diversions.

All urban diversions in the Australian Capital Territory are regulated except for volumes diverted directly from the unregulated part of the Murrumbidgee River.

Australian Capital Territoy volume only includes water taken for licences issued by the ACT Government due to the administrative arrangements for managing Commonwealth-controlled diversions. It is estimated that Commonwealth-controlled diversions (chiefly from Lake Burley Griffin) are less than 1,000 ML.

New South Wales data include the major and local water utility licence class. This volume does not contain the high-security town water supply class; see Line item 14.7.2.4 Allocation diversion of regulated flows – high-security, urban holder

South Australian urban diversions are included in Line item 14.7.2.4.

No information is available for Victoria. See Line item 14.7.9.7 Allocation diversion of regulated flows – other lumped holder.
