Further details on the information provided in the above table are given below:

  • New South Wales data are for Murrumbidgee and Murray regions only.
  • The New South Wales Murrumbidgee volume represents the bulk irrigation conveyance licences allocation remaining (carryover) within the Coleambally and Murrumbidgee irrigation areas. These conveyance licences are held by irrigation trusts in order to account for losses within their distribution systems.
  • New South Wales Murray volume represents the remaining diversion allocation associated with the regulated river conveyance losses in the Murray region.
  • No information available in water audit monitoring (WAM) for other NSW irrigation trusts.
  • The regulated river conveyance allocation remaining in New South Wales, which accounts for losses in the river, is shown under Line item 8.1.9.7 Allocation on regulated flows remaining – other lumped holders.
  • This class or purpose is not available in Australian Capital Territory, Queensland and South Australia.
  • No information is available for Victoria. See Line item 8.1.9.7 Allocation on regulated flows remaining – other lumped holders.
