14.7.7 Allocation diversion of regulated flows – Environment water access entitlement

Supporting information

The volume recognised in the water accounting statements (0 ML) represents the total volume of water diverted from the environment water access entitlement’s share of storage according to the water access entitlement for the Bunyip catchment during 2009–10.

The environment water access entitlement’s share of storage in the Bunyip catchment is diverted from the Tarago Reservoir. No water was diverted from the environmental share of storage for the Bunyip catchment in 2009–10.

An environmental water access entitlement exists for the Yarra catchment. No water was diverted under this entitlement during 2009–10.

Quantification approach

Data source

Melbourne Water: Waterworks database; supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) database.

Data provider

Melbourne Water.

Method

No water was diverted from the environmental share of storage for the Bunyip catchment in 2009–10.
During 2009–10, no water was diverted under the Yarra environmental entitlement.

Uncertainty

The accuracy of metering of diverted flows from the Yarra River at Yering Gorge is +/–1%.
