The volume of water within lakes and wetlands cannot be quantified accurately due to a lack of available data. However, it is considered that the volume of water held in lakes and wetlands is relatively small in size and its omission does not have a material impact on the credibility of this report.
It should be noted that water transfers to and from Lakes and wetlands—connected are included within water transfers to and from the water table aquifer. That is, lakes and wetlands are considered to be a part of the groundwater system on the Statement of Changes in Water Assets and Water Liabilities and the Statement of Physical Water Flows.
