Search Bar
Using the search bar, water restrictions information can be navigated by State or Territory, water agency and restriction name.
| Search option | Content |
|---|---|
| State/Territory | Search for a State or Territory to see a list of agencies in that area and their current restrictions. |
| Agency name | Type and select the name of a water agency to see a list of that agency's restriction areas and their current restrictions. |
| Restriction name | Type and select a restriction name to see water agencies and areas that currently have that restriction. |
Note: some restrictions with the same name may have different water use rules.
Tables explained
Multiple agencies table
A multiple agencies table is displayed when a State or Territory has been selected in the search bar. This table provides a list of water agencies in the selected State or Territory and displays the current restrictions that they have in place. A water agency may have multiple current restrictions relating to various restrictions areas within their jurisdiction.
To use the multiple agencies table:
- select an agency to view their restriction areas; or
- select a restriction to see further details.
Single agency table
Selecting a single water agency will present you with the single agency table. This table provides a list of restriction areas within that agency's jurisdiction, the current restriction for each area and the start date and end date of the current restriction. Permanent restrictions do not have an end date and will be reported as not applicable (N/A). Similarly, temporary restrictions that do not have a reported end date will be reported as N/A.
To use the single agency table:
- select a restriction area name to view more information; or
- select a restriction to see further details.
Restriction level table
The restriction level table provides information about all agencies and restriction areas that are currently enforcing that restriction. This table also shows the start date for the restriction and the end date. Permanent restrictions do not have an end date and will be reported as not applicable (N/A). Similarly, temporary restrictions that do not have a reported end date will be reported as N/A.
Restriction area table
The restriction area table can be accessed by clicking on an area name in a single agency table or a restriction level table. The restriction area table displays current restriction information for that area.
To use the restriction area table:
- select the Area web address to go to the water agency's website; or
- select Previous restriction to see the last restriction (if available).
