Water Restrictions

The Bureau of Meteorology’s Water Restrictions website provides access to current water restrictions information for the whole of Australia. Water restrictions information can be searched by State or Territory, water agency and restriction name. Water restriction names and rules vary throughout Australia due to local requirements.

Under Level 1 water restrictions:

Sprinklers may only be used between the hours of 5am-9am and 5pm-9pm

Odd-numbered houses (ie street number ending with 1, 3, 5, 7 or 9) are permitted to use sprinklers on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays only.

Even-numbered houses (number ending with 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8) may use sprinklers on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays only

No sprinkler use is permitted on Mondays.

Hand-held hoses with a trigger nozzle, watering cans and buckets can be used at any time.
