The Bureau of Meteorology’s Water Restrictions website provides access to current water restrictions information for the whole of Australia. Water restrictions information can be searched by State or Territory, water agency and restriction name. Water restriction names and rules vary throughout Australia due to local requirements.

Stage 2 Water Restriction is in force for Whitemark on Flinders Island from Wednesday 22 March until Friday 30 June 2017. These restrictions will apply unless an exemption is provided. The restrictions may be lifted earlier depending on inflows and storage levels.

Stage 2 Water Restrictions are designed to reduced average water consumption by approximately 50% through the reduction of non-essential water use. Non-essential residential and commercial use is limited to alternate days and watering of lawns is banned.
