The Bureau of Meteorology’s Water Restrictions website provides access to current water restrictions information for the whole of Australia. Water restrictions information can be searched by State or Territory, water agency and restriction name. Water restriction names and rules vary throughout Australia due to local requirements.

Summer times:Between 6am-9am and 6pm-9pm every second day as per odds and even system.

As from the 6th April 2014 watering times are between:

7am-10am and 4pm - 7pm every second day under the odds and evens system.

Winter times: Between 7am-10am and 4pm-7pm every second day as per odds and evens system.

New lawn/turf can be irrigated for 1 week after being laid, then Level 2 restrictions apply.

Residential Gardens

Topping up of garden water features is permitted.

Topping up of private swimming pools and spas permitted between 7am-9am and 6pm-8pm daily.

First fill of public swimming pools and spas permitted between 7am-9am and 6pm-8pm daily.

Washing down of walls and hard surfaces is not permitted.

Residential Car washing

Permitted with bucket and trigger hose fitting on lawn areas between 9am-12pm daily.

Non- Residential Lawns & Gardens have the same conditions as residential users.

Bore water, rainwater and water from other sources

-Homeowners are always encouraged to use water conservatively

-If the water source (eg tank) is topped up from Council's water supply system, level 2 restrictions must be adhered to

-Level 2 restrictions also apply to the purple pipe system connected to some properties in the North Orange and Ploughmans Valley areas.
