The Bureau of Meteorology’s Water Restrictions website provides access to current water restrictions information for the whole of Australia. Water restrictions information can be searched by State or Territory, water agency and restriction name. Water restriction names and rules vary throughout Australia due to local requirements.

- Odd Numbers – Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday.
- Even Numbers – Wednesday, Friday, Sunday
Residential Watering Hours
- 7:00-8:00am
- 5:00-6:00pm
Gardens & Lawns
- Hand-held hosing at specified times
- Sprinklers and Soaker Hoses are banned
- Buckets / Watering Cans at specified times
- New Turf must seek approval to water
- Council Approved drip and micro sprinkler irrigation systems at specified times
Hosing or Washing Paved or Concreted Areas
- Banned
Swimming Pools and Spas
- No Filling but topping up allowed
Motor Vehicle Washing
- Bucket for washing
- Trigger hose or high pressure cleaners for rinsing
Domestic Pets
- Drinking water ok
- Washing Bucket with a bucket
External Building cleaning
- Buckets for windows only
