Water Restrictions

The Bureau of Meteorology’s Water Restrictions website provides access to current water restrictions information for the whole of Australia. Water restrictions information can be searched by State or Territory, water agency and restriction name. Water restriction names and rules vary throughout Australia due to local requirements.

There is also the choice not to water at all.

Watering is to be attended by a resident or on programmable timed systems.

DAYLIGHT SAVING PERIOD

Watering permitted between 6pm and 9am

PERIOD OUTSIDE DAYLIGHT SAVING

Watering permitted any time.

Washing down walls or paved surfaces

Topping up private swimming pools/spas

- Permitted

First fill of private swimming pools

- Permitted

Washing cars at home

- Permitted with bucket and rinse with

trigger hose on lawn at any time

Baths, showers
