Feedback on the Exposure Draft of Australian Water Accounting Standard 1

The Exposure Draft of Australian Water Accounting Standard 1 (ED AWAS 1) was published in October 2010 by the Water Accounting Standards Board (WASB) for comment. The feedback received will significantly inform the transition from an exposure draft to the final version of the Australian Water Accounting Standard 1 (AWAS 1).

Comments closed on the 30 June 2011.

WASB will be reviewing feedback between July 2011 and July 2012, with a view to publishing a final version of the Australian Water Accounting Standards in late 2012. Should there be a significant amendment required to the standard, WASB may elect to release another exposure draft (as a whole, or in part) or conduct selective further consultation on a near final draft before the final standard is released.

WASB and the Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (AUASB) are seeking comments from stakeholders in relation to the development of a standard for assurance engagements on general purpose water accounting reports.
