As one of our Graduate Hydrologists you will be offered on-the-job training in hydrologic theory and practice and/or short-term placements in partner organisations to gain experience in various facets of water resources management. Our investment in you will include mentorship by senior and supervising hydrologists. On commencement, graduate level hydrologists will also be offered an intensive training program to build their skills and expertise in hydrology.
You will be part of a team preparing annual national water resources assessments, national water accounts and various hydrologic forecasts. You will analyse and report on various aspects of surface water, groundwater, water quality and water use across Australia, with opportunities for modelling. Periodic involvement in flood forecasting activities is likely.
