To secure the long term water supply of all Australians, the Australian Government has announced Water for the Future, a $12.9 billion water investment program. This includes $450 million for the 'Improving Water Information Program' administered by the Bureau of Meteorology and backed by the Commonwealth Water Act 2007 and key stakeholders. To support its expanded role in water information and to integrate it with the Bureau's existing hydrological services functions, the Bureau is building a world-class team of talented and innovative hydrologists. An exciting opportunity exists for a Regional Hydrology Manager based at the Bureau's South Australian Regional Office in Adelaide.
You will be the regional contact for external stakeholders in all matters relating to the Water Division including collaboration with the State Water Information Coordinators, water regulations and related matters. This position also plays a key role of managing a team of Hydrologists involved in flood warning and forecasting activities.
