Under the Federal Government's Water for the Future plan, the role of the Bureau of Meteorology has been expanded to manage Australia's water information. The Bureau is currently seeking to employ a range of specialist staff to undertake development of the Australian Water Resources Information System (AWRIS), which will provide a comprehensive and current account of Australia's water resources. With the support of the National Water Commission (NWC), the Bureau is undertaking a long-term project to develop AWRIS into a world-leading water information system. The project involves researching, developing and applying state of the art knowledge and technologies in hydrology and information sciences.
The Senior Business Analyst will provide requirements analysis, technical specifications and manage testing of the AWRIS and associated spatial and temporal databases. We require experienced ICT professionals with a strong client focus.
