Wind: Wind Roses for Selected Locations in Australia
Wind roses show the frequency of occurrence
of wind speed and direction. They are available for 81 selected
locations around Australia which have a wind record of at least 15 years.
Many of these sites have more than twenty five years of data. The wind roses
are available for 9am and 3pm for individual months, seasons and annually.
There
are also maps available
which show wind roses for a number of sites across Australia.
Wind roses can
be obtained for many other
locations by contacting the Bureau of Meteorology.
