Release of Forecast Explorer for NSW and Marine areas
The Bureau of Meteorology continues its roll-out of the Next Generation Forecast & Warning System ("NexGenFWS").
Forecast Explorer is a tool that enables some of the weather service products to be visualised on the Bureau's web pages.
Upgrades to the Forecast Explorer include:
- New South Wales is included on the maps.
- The new Marine Forecast Explorer shows forecasts of wind speed (knots)
and wind direction as well as the Combined Sea and Swell along the coastline.
This release includes Victoria and New South Wales. - Additions and changes to the data grids displayed in the maps.
