Changes to the Bureau's Web Site

The Bureau of Meteorology is working towards improving the accessibility and navigation within its website.

Recent changes include:

The addition of a left hand menu to the state and territory web pages to make it more efficient to move between forecasts, warnings, and observations. The menu also has quick links to the radar viewer, charts, satellite images, and more in the lower left.

Using the new menu will mean you won’t need to bookmark your favourite pages, however if you still like to use bookmarks you will need to reset them because many of the page locators (URLs) have changed.

There are a few pages that will look different and revert to plain text in some instances. We will be working towards the introduction of improved html formats for these products in the future.

The Bureau has received feedback in relation to viewing the web site using a mobile phone and has made some changes to improve access.

We welcome your feedback on the changes and will use this to help guide future improvements to the site.

Features of the new layout:

Quick links for your state and the broader national services such as the radar and weather maps.
