Winds approaching storm force on the 3rd near Elcho Is. when it moved inland. |

| Damage | Four fishermen from Goulburn Is. drowned in a small boat. Some tree damage, but wind damage surprisingly light. Milingimbi lost its school roof. At Maningrida lines and aerials were blown down. |
