Area affected Southern Arafura Sea, Melville Is. NW Territory coast.
Central pressure Lowest observed 996 hPa 7th, 8th and 9th.
Winds Strongest reported 65 km/h.
Rainfall Cape Don 129mm on 8th, Pt. Stuart 140mm on 9th, Pt Keats 180mm on 10th. Much heavier rain after Carmen crossed coast and weakened. Timber Creek 289mm on 11th. Highest cumulative rainfall from 7th to 13th was in NE Arnhem Land (300 - 450mm) and around Timber Creek (250 - 380mm).
Seas & storm surge Rough to high seas reported along northwest coast from 8th to 11th but only moderate to rough seas were reported by ships near the cyclone centre.
Damage None reported.
