Area affected coral Sea, Cape York, Gulf of Carpentaria, Central NT.
Central pressure Lowest estimated 980 hPa on 11th. Lowest recorded pressure 987 hPa at Wollorgorang on 11th.
Winds Maximum estimated gust 150 km/h on 11th. Winds of 110 km/h were reported at Mornington Island and 120 km/h at Wentworth Station, about 30km south of the centre. Gales persisted especially on the Southern side as Eddie moved overland. Elliot recorded a maximum gust of 143 km/h on the 12th as the depression centre maved through.
Rainfall Highest 24hr fall was 113mm at Centre Is. Heaviest 72hr totals were 139 at Centre Is., 128mm at Wave Hill and 118mm at Daly Waters.
Seas & storm surge Higher than normal tides were reported around the southeast Gulf of Carpentaria, with a 1.5m surge at Wentworth Station.
Damage No significant structural damage was reported.
