Area affected Coral Sea, Arafura Sea, Timor Sea, Indian Ocean.
Central pressure Lowest estimated 949 hPa on the 19th. No observations were available from near the centre of TC Fay.
Winds Max wind gusts recorded at Troughton Island were 50 knots on the 18 March, Northern Endeavour recorded 54 knot gusts on the same day. Estimated maximum winds 90 knots (166km/h) on the 19th.
Rainfall Significant 24hr totals: 91mm at Elcho Island on the 15 March. 180mm at Point Fawcett and 94mm at Maningrida on the 16th. 122mm at Troughton Island and 110mm at Point Stuart on the 18th.
Seas & storm surge Phenomenal seas near centre. No storm surge reported.
Damage No damage reported.
