Area affected Arafura Sea, north coast, Katherine area.
Central pressure Lowest estimated 980 hPa on 4th. Lowest observed pressure 992 hPa by ship on 4th.
Winds Maximum reported winds 110 km/h. Maximum estimated 115 km/h.
Rainfall After Ferdinand crossed the coast the rain depression caused near record floods in the Katherine and Daly Rivers. Highest 24hr fall 179mm at Murganella on 4th. Murganella and Warruwi recorded 48hr falls (4th-5th) of 283mm and 291mm respectively.
Seas & storm surge Rough seas on north coast. No reports of storm surge.
Damage Minor damage on Goulburn Island and around Maningrida.
