Area affected Timor Sea, North Kimberly Coast, Indian Ocean.
Central pressure Lowest estimated pressure 970hPa in the Indian Ocean on the 1st of February. Lowest in Timor Sea 990hPa on the 29th Jan.
Winds Gale to storm force winds (60kts (110km/h) on the 28th) were experienced along the North Kimberly coast. Winds of Beaufort 13 hurricane force were reported by a ship on the 1st of Feb when 70 miles south east of the centre. Strongest estimated wind gusts were 120kts (220km/h) on the 1st.
Rainfall Cumulative totals for the period 26th Jan to the 8th Feb of over 150mm along the Kimberly coastal region, with the highest at Troughton Island. The highest 24 hour fall of 101.8mm occured at Troughton Island on the 29th Jan.
Seas & storm surge Mountainous seas were reported on the 29th by a ship 90NM to the North Northwest of the centre. Seas up to 5 metres and similar swells were reported by several ships in the vicinity of the cyclone.
Damage No damage was reported in the Kimberley region. Damage reported west of Roebourne.
