Area affected Western Golf of Carpentaria, central Northern Territory.
Central pressure Lowest estimated 978 hPa on 20th. Lowest observed 984 hPa by a ship northwest of Groote Eylandt on 20th.
Winds Highest reported wind 60 kts (110 km/h) from ship near Groote Eylandt on 20th.
Rainfall Very active rain depression after moving inland. Major flooding west of Larrimah, Birrimbah Station evacuated. Highest 24hr total 409mm at Larrimah.
Seas & storm surge Rough to very rough seas near cyclone centre on 20th. Storm surge of 0.8m recorded at Alyangula.
Damage Slight. Ketch grounded at Bickerton Is. and some sheds destroyed at Numbulwar.
