Area affected Coral Sea, Cape York, Gulf of Carpenteria
Central pressure Lowest measured was 998hPa on the 21st. Lowest estimated was 986hPa on the 20th in the Gulf.
Winds Maximum gust at Weipa was 87km/h (47NM) on the 20th.
Rainfall The most intense rainfalll for th century. Heavy flood rains on the Peninsula. Coen 282mm on the 20th, Weipa 123mm 21st.
Seas & storm surge Rough seas. No storm surge reported.
Damage Trees uprooted. Some windmills destroyed. No structural damage reported.
