Area affected Cape York Peninsula, Gulf of Carpentaria, Roper River area.
Central pressure Lowest estimated 970 hPa on 9th.
Winds Highest estimated 120 km/h. Maximum gusts to 110 km/h reported from Roper River.
Rainfall Jim brought falls generally of 50 - 100mm in a narrow band from Roper River to Wyndham. Highest 24hr fall 175mm at Legune Station.
Seas & storm surge Rough seas in Gulf. Storm surge in Roper mouth where a barramundi boat was temporarily stranded above the high water mark, and at Alyangula on Groote Eylandt (1.5m).
Damage Moderate tree damage on Cape York Peninsula. Moderate building and tree damage at Ngukurr Mission (Roper river).
