BOOK CONTENT FOR WEB PAGE The book consists of a number of short papers which discuss aspects of floods and a chronology of floods as reported in South Australian newspapers between December 28th 1836 and December 31st 2006. Aspects of flooding covered in the book are:-
Included with the book is a DVD which contains data, information and tools of use to those interested in researching floods in South Australia. Individuals will be able to interact with the flood database and extract the specific data items they are interested in. There is also meteorological material that supports and explains flood activity in the State. The complete flood database of 3000 flood events at over 1,400 locations can be queried electronically or downloaded to the researcher's software of preference.
