Weather Situation
A strong high pressure system just west of Tasmania will drift slowly eastwards across Tasmania tonight to lie just east of Bass Strait on Saturday. The high will oscillate around the Tasman Sea, not far east of Victoria right through until Tuesday and approaching frontal systems will be steered well south of Tasmania.
Forecast for Friday until midnight
Winds: South to southeasterly about 15 knots tending east to southeasterly 15 to 20 knots later in the evening. Seas: 0.5 to 1 metre.
Forecast for Saturday
Winds: Variable winds around 5 knots in the north tending east to southeasterly 10 to 15 knots in the south at first. Winds tending northeasterly to northerly around 10 knots during the morning with afternoon sea breezes to 15 knots. Seas: 0.5 to 1 metre.
Forecast for Sunday
Winds: Northeast to northerly to 10 knots. Afternoon sea breezes around 10 knots. Seas: Below 0.5 metres.

Winds: Northerly to 10 knots. Afternoon sea breezes around 10 knots. Seas: Below 0.5 metres.
