Weather Situation

A slow-moving high pressure system is over the Tasman Sea. A weak low pressure trough over Victoria will remain slow-moving before deepening over western Victoria on Thursday and moving eastwards later on Thursday and early Friday. A high pressure ridge will lie to the south of Tasmania on Saturday while a low pressure trough will linger near northeastern Victoria.

Isolated showers and thunderstorms. Winds southeasterly averaging 15 to 30 km/h.

Forecast for Wednesday

Partly cloudy. Patchy morning fog. Isolated showers and the chance of thunderstorms from midday. Winds mainly southeasterly averaging 15 to 25 km/h. Overnight temperatures falling to around 18 with daytime temperatures reaching 28 to 34.
