10 July 2000

House and tree damage were reported from Dunsborough.

13 July 2000

A tornado lasting ten minutes damaged eight houses in Thornlie. One house lost its roof.

2 August 2000

An intense low off the south coast produced gusts to 117 km/h at Cape Leeuwin. Seventy houses and buildings were damaged in Albany, and damage was also recorded at Walpole and Denmark. Four tornadoes were reported near Gnowangerup.

26 Nov 2000

A downburst at Esperance damaged 70 buildings, trees and power lines. Wind gusts were estimated to be about 150 km/h.

9 Dec 2000

A downburst occurred at Southern Cross. No damage reported.

7 Jan 2001

Strong winds blew down fences at Mukinbudin and Trayning.

9 Jan 2001

Strong winds, small hail and heavy rain caused minor damage at Karara station, east of Perenjori. A possible tornado caused significant damage at Ninghan station near Paynes Find.

8 Feb 2001

Heavy rain (55mm within 1 hour) caused local flooding at Meekatharra.

28 Feb 2001

A tornado caused local damage in a 1km-wide strip east of Coorow. Minor building damage at Carnamah and also at Dalwallinu where 110 km/h wind gusts were reported.

6 March 2001

A waterspout at Port Hedland caused localised damage in the town. 72mm of rain was reported near the path.

22 April 2001

Power poles were brought down and a shed roof removed near Borden.

6 May 2001

Possible tornado at Boyanup uprooted large trees and damaged one house in a 2km wide band.
A tornado caused damage along a 180km strip from Northampton to Three Springs. Sheds and roofs were damaged and power poles broken in half.
