The CIPSA Portal offers site-specific historical climate information, including trends in mean and extreme climate indices, for Pacific Island countries and Australia. Supported by the Climate and Ocean Support Program in the Pacific (COSPPac), the portal provides valuable data for sectors such as agriculture, health, and water security.
Originally developed in 2009, the portal is modelled on a similar tool for Australia and utilises Climpact for calculating climate extremes indices. It is a key component of the Bureau of Meteorology's contribution to the WMO RA-V Pacific Regional Climate Centre Network.
