Weather Situation
A high pressure ridge lies over the Tasman Sea bringing settled conditions for
most of the week. Late Saturday into Sunday, a cold front is expected to pass
over the island bringing a cool change with unsettled conditions, which are
expected to persist for the remainder of the forecast period.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 9 April
Mostly clear.
Winds: E/NE below 10 knots.
Seas: About 1 metre.
1st Swell: E/NE 1.5 to 2 metres.
2nd Swell: S/SW below 1 metre.
Surf conditions may be more powerful than they appear and are expected to be
hazardous for coastal activities such as rock fishing, swimming and surfing,
particularly for northeast facing beaches.

Mostly sunny.
Winds: NE below 10 knots.
Seas: Below 1 metre.
1st Swell: E/NE 1.5 to 2 metres.
2nd Swell: S/SW about 1 metre.

hazardous for coastal activities such as rock fishing, swimming and surfing.

Winds: N/NE about 10 knots, shifting N/NW 10 to 15 knots in the evening.

2nd Swell: S/SW below 1 metre.

Partly cloudy. High (80%) chance of a shower, most likely in the morning.
Winds: NW 10 to 15 knots, shifting SW 15 to 20 knots during the afternoon.
