Weather Situation
An established high pressure ridge over the Tasman sea will bring mostly
settled conditions to the Island across the forecast period. Late Monday, a
trough is expected to pass over the island bringing the onset of unsettled
conditions.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 9 April
Cloudy.
Winds: S/SE 10 to 15 knots.
Seas: About 2 metres.
1st Swell: E/NE about 2 metres, increasing to 2 to 2.5 metres in the evening.
2nd Swell: NW about 1 metre.

Partly cloudy. Medium (40%) chance of a shower.
Winds: S/SE 10 to 15 knots.
Seas: About 1 metre.

Winds: SW about 10 knots, shifting W throughout the day.
Seas: About 1 metre.
1st Swell: SE 3.5 to 4 metres, decreasing to 2.5 to 3.5 metres during the afternoon.
2nd Swell: SW about 1 metre.
Surf conditions may be more powerful than they appear and are expected to be
hazardous for coastal activities such as rock fishing, swimming and surfing.
